The United States was the largest exporting country with an export of about X litres, which finished at 78% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Canada (X litres), committing a 22% share of total exports.
The United States was also the fastest-growing in terms of the non-mineral or non-aerated waters exports, with a CAGR of +6.6% from 2012 to 2021. Canada (-3.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The United States (+20 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Canada saw its share reduced by -19.8% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.
In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the largest non-mineral or non-aerated water supplier in Northern America, comprising 90% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Canada ($X), with a 10% share of total exports.
In the United States, non-mineral or non-aerated water exports expanded at an average annual rate of +15.1% over the period from 2012-2021.

The export price in Northern America stood at $X per litre in 2021, shrinking by -6.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 63% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per litre, and then contracted in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per litre), while Canada stood at $X per litre.

The United States dominates imports structure, accounting for X litres, which was near 95% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Canada (X litres), comprising a 5% share of total imports.
Imports into the United States increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Canada (+14.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Canada emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Northern America, with a CAGR of +14.9% from 2012-2021. Canada (+1.9 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-mineral or non-aerated waters in Northern America, comprising 86% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Canada ($X), with a 14% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in the United States totaled +1.5%.

The import price in Northern America stood at $X per litre in 2021, shrinking by -4.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a deep slump.
