Germany (X tons) was the main destination for almond exports from Norway, with a 95% share of total exports. Moreover, almond exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sweden (X kg), more than tenfold. Poland (X kg) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 0.5% share.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2021, approx. X tons of almonds were imported into Norway; with an increase of 27% against 2020. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 290%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, almond imports expanded notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 292% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of almond imports to Norway, with a combined 69% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the United States (with a CAGR of +25.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), Turkey ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest almond suppliers to Norway, together comprising 60% of total imports.
In terms of the main suppliers, the United States, with a CAGR of +15.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
