Faroe Islands (X tons) was the main destination for antisera exports from Norway, with a 68% share of total exports. Moreover, antisera exports to Faroe Islands exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sweden (X tons), ninefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Austria (X tons), with a 7.5% share.

In value terms, Sweden ($X), Denmark ($X) and Austria ($X) were the largest markets for antisera exported from Norway worldwide, with a combined 55% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Faroe Islands, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and the United States, which together accounted for a further 40%.
Faroe Islands, with a CAGR of +374.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average antisera export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with a decrease of -76.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 196%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2021, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Faroe Islands ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Norway
In 2021, the amount of antisera and other blood fractions imported into Norway surged to X tons, with an increase of 149% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed buoyant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, antisera imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a resilient increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
South Korea (X tons), China (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of antisera imports to Norway, with a combined 65% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Austria, the United States, Ireland, Poland, Switzerland and Belgium, which together accounted for a further 25%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +280.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
