Sweden (X units) was the main destination for circuit breaker exports from Norway, accounting for a 42% share of total exports. Moreover, circuit breaker exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Vietnam (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Singapore (X units), with an 8.5% share.

The average circuit breaker export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, jumping by 20% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of automatic circuit breakers decreased by -3.1% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.9% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted modestly in the following year.

The Czech Republic (X units), Portugal (X units) and France (X units) were the main suppliers of circuit breaker imports to Norway, with a combined 50% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Portugal (with a CAGR of +226.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
