Beeswax Market Size in Norway

The Norwegian beeswax market fell to $X in 2022, declining by -11.7% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, beeswax imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 179%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Denmark (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of beeswax to Norway, with a 70% share of total imports. Moreover, beeswax imports from Denmark exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the UK (X tons), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Germany (X tons), with a 7.9% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Denmark stood at +58.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (+103.8% per year) and Germany (+104.0% per year).
