For the third consecutive year, the Norwegian broom, brush, and mop market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 6.4% to $X in 2022. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the market reached the peak level in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2022, shipments abroad of brooms, brushes, and mops increased by 11% to X units, rising for the third consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, exports, however, showed a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by 73% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Broom, brush, and mop imports into Norway soared to X units in 2022, growing by 26% on 2021 figures. Overall, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +46.2% against 2019 indices.
