Denmark (X tons) was the main destination for chicken meat exports from Norway, accounting for a 82% share of total exports. Moreover, chicken meat exports to Denmark exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Gabon (X tons), more than tenfold. Spain (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 4.5% share.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 105%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

In 2021, Denmark (X tons) constituted the largest chicken meat supplier to Norway, accounting for a 29% share of total imports. Moreover, chicken meat imports from Denmark exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Sweden (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Latvia (X tons), with a 6.3% share.
