Imports peaked at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, diesel-electric and other locomotive imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt contraction. Germany (X units), Sweden (X units) and Denmark (X units) were the main suppliers of diesel-electric and other locomotive imports to Norway, with a combined 70% share of total imports.
