Argentina (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of dry bean imports to Norway, together comprising 40% of total imports. The average dry bean import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 17%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was New Zealand ($X per ton), while the price for Finland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
