In value terms, fiberboard exports plummeted to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 99%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
Exports by Country
Sweden (X cubic meters), Denmark (X cubic meters) and Finland (X cubic meters) were the main destinations of fiberboard exports from Norway, with a combined 73% share of total exports. Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Lithuania, Estonia and Oman lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 18%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Lithuania (with a CAGR of +19.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Germany (X cubic meters), Belgium (X cubic meters) and Poland (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of fiberboard imports to Norway, together comprising 78% of total imports. Spain, Sweden, France, Switzerland and Ireland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Switzerland (with a CAGR of +16.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
