The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 185%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the UK (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of ghee to Norway, with a 89% share of total imports. Moreover, ghee imports from the UK exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), more than tenfold. Bulgaria (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 3.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from the UK stood at +15.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+19.9% per year) and Bulgaria (+188.0% per year).
In value terms, the UK ($X) constituted the largest supplier of ghee to Norway, comprising 82% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 7.9% share of total imports. It was followed by Bulgaria, with a 4.5% share.
