Sweden (X tons) was the main destination for paper label exports from Norway, accounting for a 49% share of total exports. Moreover, paper label exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Denmark (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Russia (X tons), with a 15% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Sweden totaled +1.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Denmark (-0.0% per year) and Russia (+8.1% per year).
In value terms, Sweden ($X) remains the key foreign market for labels of paper or paperboard exports from Norway, comprising 42% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Denmark ($X), with a 19% share of total exports. It was followed by Russia, with a 9.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Sweden was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Denmark (+2.7% per year) and Russia (+8.6% per year).

In 2021, the average paper label export price amounted to $X per ton, rising by 14% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 15%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, imports of labels of paper or paperboard into Norway fell to X tons, which is down by -8.5% against 2020. Overall, imports showed a perceptible setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 12%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Sweden totaled -1.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Denmark (-9.6% per year) and Germany (-0.4% per year).

In 2021, the average paper label import price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 8.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 9.9%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
