Imports into Norway
In 2021, supplies from abroad of marble and travertine decreased by -32.9% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after three years of growth. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 79% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, marble and travertine imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a noticeable decline. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Turkey (X tons), Sweden (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main suppliers of marble and travertine imports to Norway, with a combined 53% share of total imports.
