Millet Market Size in Norway

In 2022, the Norwegian millet market decreased by -26.7% to $X, falling for the fourth year in a row after three years of growth. Overall, consumption recorded a precipitous decline. Millet consumption peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, millet imports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 111%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

India (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Ukraine (X tons) were the main suppliers of millet imports to Norway, with a combined 56% share of total imports. Latvia, Russia, Denmark, China and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 37%.
