Finland (X units) was the main destination for drawing chalk exports from Norway, accounting for a 73% share of total exports. Moreover, drawing chalk exports to Finland exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sweden (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Denmark (X units), with a 6.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Finland amounted to +63.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (-16.1% per year) and Denmark (+22.6% per year).

Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
