Sweden (X tons) was the main destination for plastic reservoir exports from Norway, with a 53% share of total exports. Moreover, plastic reservoir exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Denmark (X tons), twofold.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -2.5% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 27% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

Sweden (X tons), Finland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of plastic reservoir imports to Norway, with a combined 63% share of total imports. Lithuania, Poland, the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Latvia, Ireland, Belgium and Estonia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 32%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Belgium (with a CAGR of +81.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest plastic reservoir suppliers to Norway were Sweden ($X), Finland ($X) and Germany ($X), together comprising 48% of total imports. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Estonia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
