Razor Market Size in Norway
The Norwegian razor market expanded to $X in 2021, picking up by 2.3% against the previous year. Sweden (X tons) was the main destination for razor exports from Norway, accounting for a 80% share of total exports. Moreover, razor exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X kg), fivefold.

In value terms, Sweden ($X) remains the key foreign market for razors exports from Norway, comprising 86% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Denmark ($X), with a 7% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Sweden amounted to +25.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Denmark (-35.8% per year) and Germany (+20.8% per year).

The average razor export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 16% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 169% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, overseas purchases of razors increased by 5.7% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 30%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, razor imports amounted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 19%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Greece (X tons) were the main suppliers of razor imports to Norway, with a combined 59% share of total imports. The United States, Sweden, Mexico, Germany, South Korea, the UK and Denmark lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the United States (with a CAGR of +19.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constituted the largest supplier of razors to Norway, comprising 37% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with an 18% share.
