Sweden (X square meters) was the main destination for safety glass exports from Norway, with a 65% share of total exports. Moreover, safety glass exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X square meters), fivefold. Poland (X square meters) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 12% share.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, safety glass imports totaled $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 16%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X square meters), Poland (X square meters) and Denmark (X square meters) were the main suppliers of safety glass imports to Norway, with a combined 52% share of total imports.
