In 2021, after seven years of growth, there was significant decline in the Norwegian loudspeaker market, when its value decreased by -29.2% to $X. For the fourth year in a row, Norway recorded decline in shipments abroad of single loudspeakers (in enclosure), which decreased by -14.5% to X units in 2021. In general, exports saw a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 63% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, loudspeaker exports reduced to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates (X units), Germany (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of loudspeaker exports from Norway, with a combined 68% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +19.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for single loudspeakers (in enclosure) exports from Norway, comprising 37% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the UK ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by China, with a 6.4% share.

In 2021, the average loudspeaker export price amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 9.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a pronounced slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 52% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Norway
In 2021, overseas purchases of single loudspeakers (in enclosure) decreased by -16.7% to X units, falling for the third year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -31.0% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 60%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, loudspeaker imports rose to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -27.6% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest loudspeaker supplier to Norway, with a 78% share of total imports. Moreover, loudspeaker imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), more than tenfold. Denmark (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +3.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.4% per year) and Denmark (+20.6% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of single loudspeakers (in enclosure) to Norway, comprising 67% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by France ($X), with a 4.8% share of total imports. It was followed by Denmark, with a 4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China stood at +3.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+17.9% per year) and Denmark (+7.2% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average loudspeaker import price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average import price increased by 31% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while the price for Hong Kong SAR ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
