The United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of +28.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average tap and valve export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, declining by -20.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a pronounced curtailment. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 21% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, tap and valve imports expanded modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Italy (X tons), China (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of tap and valve imports to Norway, with a combined 45% share of total imports. The UK, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Poland, the United States, Finland, the Netherlands, Austria and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 44%.
