For the fifth consecutive year, Oman recorded decline in purchases abroad of ceramic household articles and toilet articles, which decreased by -4.8% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a mild increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 85% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, ceramic household article imports dropped to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year.
