Saudi Arabia (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main destinations of furnace burner exports from Oman, with a combined 80% share of total exports. Yemen, Qatar and Tanzania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Tanzania (with a CAGR of +309.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, purchases abroad of furnace burners, mechanical stokers, mechanical grates and mechanical ash dischargers increased by 21% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 152%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, furnace burner imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a pronounced decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 303%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Saudi Arabia (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of furnace burner imports to Oman, together comprising 36% of total imports. These countries were followed by India, Canada, Germany, China, the United States and Malaysia, which together accounted for a further 15%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Canada (with a CAGR of +32.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
