Over the period under review, imports, however, showed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 129% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then contracted notably in the following year.
In value terms, pliers and pincers imports fell slightly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw notable growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank modestly in the following year.

In 2021, the United Arab Emirates (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of pliers and pincers to Oman, with a 72% share of total imports.
