Soft Drink Market Size in Oman

The Omani soft drink market expanded sharply to $X in 2021, growing by 12% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, showed a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 37%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X litres, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, soft drink imports declined significantly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 26% against the previous year. Moreover, soft drink imports from the United Arab Emirates exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Saudi Arabia (X litres), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Kuwait (X litres), with a 4% share.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per litre. From 2017 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per litre), while the price for Kuwait ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
