The United Arab Emirates (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the main destinations of stranded wire exports from Oman, together comprising 41% of total exports. Yemen, Pakistan, Qatar, Romania and India lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 32%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for India (with a CAGR of +216.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 66% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Pakistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
