In value terms, exports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 56%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

The United Arab Emirates (X tons) was the main destination for exports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations from Pakistan, accounting for a 30% share of total exports. In 2022, imports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations into Pakistan declined notably to X tons, with a decrease of -31.3% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 123% against the previous year. China, Poland, the UK, Thailand, Germany, the United States, France, Italy, South Korea and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 47%.

Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the average import price increased by 45%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for Singapore ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
