In value terms, common pottery exports dropped to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 106% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then contracted in the following year.

The United Arab Emirates (X tons), the UK (X tons) and Oman (X tons) were the main destinations of common pottery exports from Pakistan, with a combined 93% share of total exports. The United States lagged somewhat behind, comprising a further 5.2%.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, common pottery imports declined slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 516% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of common pottery imports to Pakistan.
