The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 97%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then fell modestly in the following year.

In value terms, halogenated hydrocarbon derivative imports dropped significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 156% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then declined notably in the following year.

Imports by Country

China (X tons), Qatar (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) were the main suppliers of halogenated hydrocarbon derivative imports to Pakistan, with a combined 75% share of total imports. Germany, South Korea, Japan, Russia and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 21%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Germany (with a CAGR of +59.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the price for South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
