The United States (X tons) was the main destination for jam, jelly, puree and paste exports from Pakistan, accounting for a 34% share of total exports. Moreover, jam, jelly, puree and paste exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Canada (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the UK (X tons), with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the United States amounted to +15.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Canada (+15.4% per year) and the UK (+2.6% per year).

In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the key foreign market for jams, jellies, puree and pastes exports from Pakistan, comprising 39% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Canada ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by the UK, with an 11% share.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 152%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2020, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, jam, jelly, puree and paste imports reduced sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 81%. Imports peaked at $X in 2020, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

Greece (X tons), Iran (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) were the main suppliers of jam, jelly, puree and paste imports to Pakistan, together comprising 62% of total imports.
