Lignite Market Size in Pakistan

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in the Pakistani lignite market, when its value decreased by -25% to $X. In value terms, lignite imports contracted remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 16,417% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined notably in the following year.

In 2022, Indonesia (X tons) constituted the largest lignite supplier to Pakistan, with a 36% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan (X tons), with a 1.2% share of total imports.
