Imports into Pakistan
In 2022, overseas purchases of network communications equipment were finally on the rise to reach X units after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports recorded prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 372%. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, network communications equipment imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 472%. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Hong Kong SAR (X units), China (X units) and the Netherlands (X units) were the main suppliers of network communications equipment imports to Pakistan, together accounting for 74% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +86.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
