As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then fell significantly in the following year.

As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, imports of polyethylene with a specific gravity of less than X, in primary forms skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +46.2% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Qatar ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Saudi Arabia totaled +8.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Qatar (+7.8% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+17.5% per year).

Overall, the import price, however, saw a slight decrease.
