Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, polyphenols and phenol-alcohols imports reduced slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 27%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2021, and then shrank slightly in the following year.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest polyphenols and phenol-alcohols supplier to Pakistan, accounting for a 60% share of total imports. The third position in this ranking was taken by Malaysia (X tons), with a 3.6% share.
