Italy (X square meters), China (X square meters) and Turkey (X square meters) were the main destinations of sheep leather exports from Pakistan, together accounting for 90% of total exports. Taiwan (Chinese), South Korea and Vietnam lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 8.6%.

Imports into Pakistan
After two years of growth, purchases abroad of sheep or lamb skin leather decreased by -25.5% to X square meters in 2021. Overall, imports showed a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 35%. Imports peaked at X square meters in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, sheep leather imports declined remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports faced a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 33%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
