In value terms, sulphur imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate noticeable growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Uzbekistan (X tons), Iran (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the main suppliers of sulphur imports to Pakistan, with a combined 71% share of total imports. Afghanistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Afghanistan (with a CAGR of +71.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
