There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per litre), while the average price for exports to Kuwait ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+20.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the amount of non-mineral or non-aerated waters imported into Pakistan dropped to X litres, which is down by -12.3% against the previous year. In general, imports saw a dramatic contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 122% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X litres in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-mineral or non-aerated water imports dropped dramatically to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 114%. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Oman (X litres) was the main supplier of non-mineral or non-aerated water to Pakistan, with a 95% share of total imports. It was followed by the UK (X litres), with a 3.1% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Oman stood at -44.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (-45.9% per year) and China (-63.5% per year).
