In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of woven fabrics of cotton to Pakistan, comprising 84% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 3.6% share of total imports. It was followed by the UK, with a 2.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled -4.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Thailand (-13.2% per year) and the UK (+12.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average cotton fabric import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -17.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 73% against the previous year.
