In 2021, man-made filament yarn imports into Pakistan expanded notably to X tons, surging by 9.9% compared with the year before. Overall, imports showed a notable increase. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, the average man-made filament yarn import price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 7.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 30%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
