In value terms, cocoa powder imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 6,836%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Colombia (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of cocoa powder imports to Panama, with a combined 71% share of total imports. Peru, Spain, Free Zones and Ecuador lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 25%.
