Jute and jute-like fibers imports into Panama fell rapidly to X tons in 2022, waning by -44.1% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 274%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, jute and jute-like fibers imports fell notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports faced a sharp downturn.
