The average bracelet export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, reducing by -28% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 60% against the previous year. In 2022, approx. X units of watch straps, bands and bracelets were imported into Panama; picking up by 89% on 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a precipitous decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 279% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, bracelet imports rose slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 126%. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of bracelet to Panama, with a 65% share of total imports. Moreover, bracelet imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Free Zones (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by the United States (X units), with a 5% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at -4.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Free Zones (+64.3% per year) and the United States (-19.4% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), Free Zones ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest bracelet suppliers to Panama, together accounting for 91% of total imports.
Among the main suppliers, Free Zones, with a CAGR of +36.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average bracelet import price amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -45.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 138% against the previous year.
