From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Colombia totaled -16.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ecuador (-16.7% per year) and Costa Rica (-22.8% per year).

In 2022, the average water-skis and surfboards export price amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 41% against the previous year. Imports into Panama
After four years of decline, overseas purchases of water-skis, surfboards and sailboards increased by 8.6% to X units in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 76%. Imports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, water-skis and surfboards imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 94% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X units), Free Zones (X units) and the United States (X units) were the main suppliers of water-skis and surfboards imports to Panama, with a combined 81% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Free Zones (with a CAGR of +81.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
