In value terms, concrete tile exports contracted slightly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 808% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.
Exports by Country
Brazil (X tons) was the main destination for concrete tile exports from Paraguay, accounting for a 96% share of total exports. Moreover, concrete tile exports to Brazil exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Argentina (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Brazil stood at +48.7%.
In value terms, Brazil ($X) remains the key foreign market for tiles, flagstones, bricks and similar articles, of cement, concrete or artificial stone exports from Paraguay, comprising 99% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Argentina ($X), with a 1.5% share of total exports.

The average concrete tile export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 10% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 77% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Argentina stood at $X per ton.

Imports into Paraguay
In 2022, concrete tile imports into Paraguay fell markedly to X tons, shrinking by -46.7% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a noticeable descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 442%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, concrete tile imports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 122%. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Argentina (X tons), Brazil (X tons) and Chile (X tons) were the main suppliers of concrete tile imports to Paraguay, with a combined 85% share of total imports. China, Italy and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 12%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +57.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Brazil ($X), Argentina ($X) and Italy ($X) were the largest concrete tile suppliers to Paraguay, with a combined 70% share of total imports. Chile, China and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
