Ecuador (X tons) was the main destination for exports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations from Peru, with a 53% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations to Ecuador exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Colombia (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Bolivia (X tons), with a 15% share.

In 2022, imports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations into Peru shrank to X tons, declining by -12% on 2021. In general, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.5% against 2012 indices. Colombia (X tons), China (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) were the main suppliers of imports of beauty, make-up and skin care preparations to Peru, with a combined 50% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of +29.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Colombia ($X), France ($X) and Spain ($X) were the largest beauty, make-up and skin care preparations suppliers to Peru, together accounting for 45% of total imports.
