Crude coconut oil imports into Peru amounted to X tons in 2022, growing by 11% compared with 2021. Overall, imports showed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 690%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, crude coconut oil imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 823%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the Philippines (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of crude coconut oil to Peru, accounting for a 31% share of total imports.
