The Peruvian non-combined refrigerator-freezer market was finally on the rise to reach $X in 2022, after two years of decline. In general, consumption, however, saw a mild contraction. In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer exports rose sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 73% against the previous year. Panama (X units), Chile (X units) and the Dominican Republic (X units) were the main destinations of non-combined refrigerator-freezer exports from Peru, together accounting for 57% of total exports. The Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 40%.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -20.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 28%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports expanded to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 30%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, China (X units) was the main non-combined refrigerator-freezer supplier to Peru, accounting for a 97% share of total imports. It was followed by Colombia (X units), with a 0.8% share of total imports.
