Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, exports of internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 724% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Ecuador (X tons) was the main destination for exports of internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) from Peru, with a 67% share of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Mexico ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 14% share.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with a 21% share of total imports. It was followed by the United States, with a 4.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to +9.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (+1.1% per year) and the United States (-9.5% per year).
