Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, motor grader imports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 111% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

China (X units), Chile (X units) and Brazil (X units) were the main suppliers of motor grader imports to Peru, with a combined 59% share of total imports. The United States, Canada, Ecuador, Japan and Argentina lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.
