From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Ecuador totaled +15.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (+21.4% per year) and Colombia (+9.0% per year).

For the third consecutive year, Peru recorded growth in overseas purchases of rubber-to-metal and moulded articles, which increased by 35% to X tons in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +102.6% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 36% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

China (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of rubber-to-metal and moulded article imports to Peru, together accounting for 51% of total imports. These countries were followed by Malaysia, Turkey, India and Chile, which together accounted for a further 14%.
