From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Spain (X tons) was the main destination for pears and quinces exports from Peru, with a 55% share of total exports. Moreover, pears and quinces exports to Spain exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the UK (X tons), threefold. The average pears and quinces export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, falling by -43.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a perceptible decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 70%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then fell sharply in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
